Sarah Chalke

Sarah Chalke was conceived in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada on 27 August 1976. Angie Chalke is her mother and Doug Chalke are her father. Sarah is the middle child. She has an older sister Natasha Chalke and one younger sister, Piper Chalke. Sarah's first acting role was in City Boy (1992), a movie made for TV. After her debut film her audition, she was cast in 1993 for the role "Becky" of Roseanne (1988). After Alicia Goranson left the show to attend college the show was searching for someone to replace her. Sarah graduated from high school in 1995, and was involved in the production of Roseanne (1988) between 1994 and 1995. In 1994, Sarah starred alongside Jim Varney in Ernest Goes to School (1994). In 1996, Sarah starred in two movies: Robin of Locksley (1996) and Stand Against Fear (1996), where she was an actress called Krista Wilson. Sarah was asked to appear in a show from 1998 called Nothing Too Good for a Cowboy. It was a year following Roseanne (1988). Based on Nothing Too Good for a Cowboy (2000), Sarah also was a part of the show. In 1993, she took over Becky's role on Roseanne (1988). She announced that she would like to retire from acting and go to college. 2001 (1993-1997) She was Sara Gilbert's older sister in Roseanne (1988) however she's actually younger. Attended the 1999 CCMA award ceremony, and received an award for the most outstanding single of 1999. September 1999: Participated at the age of 8 in Vancouver's theater productions. Is fluent in French and German. She volunteers at an organization that provides care for terminally ill children. In her leisure moments, Chalke prefers cooking with other friends (especially Thai and sushi), playing the guitar, hiking, skiing (she's an instructor), snowboarding, kayaking and reading. Her father is a lawyer, as are her parents mediators. They also operate an agency for adoption of children. Her parents accompanied her to China two years ago to help coordinate the adoptions of a lot of orphans.
