Markie Post
Markie Post grew-up in Walnut Creek. She
began her professional career as a television and film producer, with projects
like "The New Card Sharks", (1978), and "Card Sharks"
(1986). Post continued to produce projects such as Double Dare (1976), and has appeared
on many television shows like E! True Hollywood Story (1996), Electra Woman
(2001), and Dyna Girl (2001). Perhaps her biggest TV role was as
"Christine Sullivan" on Night Court (1984). From 1984 to 1992 she
appeared in 156 episodes. Marylee (Armstrong) Post was her mother. She is a
poet and noted nuclear scientist Richard Freeman Post (November 14, 1918-April
7, 2015). She had two daughters with her husband, Michael A. Ross: Katie Ross
(born June 26 1997) and Daisy Ross (born March 30, 1990). Her birthplace was
Palo Alto, California and grew up close to Walnut Creek, California. As
cheerleader, she attended Las Lomas High School in Walnut Creek. The Bachelor
of Arts degree from Lewis & Clark College in Portland Oregon. She was
an act in The Wildest West Show of the Stars (1986). The funeral was held and
her ashes were given to Michael A. Ross. She was a lifetime Democrat. Markie
Post, who was three months away from her 71st birthday on the 4th of November,
2021, died on the 7th of August. Her death occurred 27 days following her
fellow Night Court (1984) co-star Charles Robinson, who passed in July 2021.
Although the two shows were not related, Night Court (1984) concluded with
Christine Sullivan's character leaving for Washington DC. Hearts Afire (1992)
started with Post as Georgie Lahti. Post was a new character in Hearts Afire
(1992), and she later relocated to a more secluded area after her time in
Washington DC.
